Best known for his Audubon -style watercolors and impressionistic paintings, Carroll Sargent Tyson was along time resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and also worked out of a studio in Souteast Harbor in the

Summers. He studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and with William Merritt Chase, Thomas Anshutz, and Cecilia Beaux. He also studied with Carl Marr and Wlter Thor in Munich.

Awards:Sesnan Gold Medal, PAFA 1915; P. -P. , Exp., San Francisco, 1915. His works are in many important private collections as well as many Museums across the United States.
