H.F. Walling was a creator and publisher of county and state wall maps and atlases. His focus was primarily on New England subjects during the mid to late 19th century. The map of the state of Maine he created is one of his most well known images. Much of his work is archived in the National Library of Congress Database, including this map of Hancock County.
